Libratherm offers a new high-accuracy PID controller, Model PID-485, for systems requiring exact temperature control. This is designed and developed using the latest microcontroller chip and 24-bit ADC and programmed with the time-tested and field-proven PID algorithm. Typically, standard PID controllers have a 4-digit display, whereas this model uses a 5-digit display for 0.01oC resolution and better control accuracy. PID controllers are used primarily for precise process control. Unlike on/off oscillatory control, PID control action provides smooth and steady state control. This model offers all the useful features required to control the most complex system precisely.


This model accepts a factory-set single fixed input of either Pt-100 or Pt-1000. Control outputs are given as an optically isolated DC pulse to drive external SSR. Alternatively, analogue control output can also be provided to control the thyristor or any other linear control device.


PID-485 is designed mainly for viscosity baths requiring precise and long-term stable temperature control.
